Artist Statement

My work shows both the complexity and simplicity of being an artist. As a jack-of-all-trades, master of none artist, I use self expression as an overall theme and work with various different mediums. To recreate oversized building blocks is too simple, yet the time spent intricately carving out and forming each block shows the complexity within. The artist block is one of the worst challenges an artist can face. This is why it is so powerful that it was manifested into a physical piece of art that was inspired by the absence of creativity. Artists can feel Anxious, Rushed, Tense, Irritated, Stressed, and Tired. However, we are also Ambitious, Resourceful, Talented, Intelligent, Serious, and Trying their darnedest to create a work that they are proud of and can express themselves through. To make art, one must put themselves into their work to become an A.R.T.I.S.T.
