Alfred Levitt: An Artist’s Centennial

Ridderhof Martin Gallery

October 21 – December 18

A contemporary of Joan Miro, Marc Chagall, and Georgia O’Keeffe, the New York artist Alfred Levitt turns 100 this year. The exhibition includes 20 of his watercolors from the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art plus 22 other paintings from his own collection, many of which have not been seen since they were exhibited at the Whitney, the Brooklyn Museum, and elsewhere in New York in the 1940s and 50s.
