Provides a stage for artist and public to present and confront a cross section of contemporary approaches toward realism. While the tradition of realism is strong both regionally and nationally, its contemporary revival or redefinition is still in the process of evaluation. What artists have to say through the broad category of realist art offers important insight into current cultural and artistic issues.
