Alfred Levitt Memorial Exhibition

Ridderhof Martin Gallery Opening: March 22-June 3, 2001 A retrospective celebration of the life and work of Alfred Levitt (1894-2000). This exhibition includes works of art from every phase of Levitt’s long and multi-faceted career. Among these are many of the artist’s finest Gloucester Paintings from the 1940’s, recently acquired by the college.

The Face of Madagascar: Photographs by Janice Levy

Ridderhof Martin Gallery Opening: January 25-March 2, 2001 An intriguing cross-cultural collaboration between contemporary photographer Janice Levy and her subject- the people of Madagascar called the Malagasy. The Malagasy expand and interpret Levy’s ongoing documentary record of them by associating her photographs with traditional cultural proverbs.
