The exhibit features works by Virginia artists Sally Bowring, Greg Carbo, Davi Det Hompson, Reni Gower, Chris Gregson, Steve Griffin, Rob Johnson, Cindy Neuschwander and Javier Tapier. These nine artists explore painting through the inventive use of collage, innovated construction techniques, or unusual painting processes. Highlighting singular works of art fabricated through the composition of many elements, “Constructs” promotes constructed images as a viable and veritable approach to painting within Virginia’s contemporary art community.
